Therapy designed for performers
The Performer Clinic offers specialist individual therapy for performers — including actors, musicians, dancers, singers, and other performing artists. Sessions are available online via Microsoft Teams and in person in London.
What we work on
The challenges performers face are specific. Julia brings specialist knowledge of these experiences — not a generic clinical approach adapted after the fact.
- Managing audition anxiety and the emotional aftermath of rejection
- Building resilience through improved emotion regulation
- Identity and self-worth beyond a role, a production, or a review
- The relational complexity of intensive creative collaboration
- Perfectionism, performance pressure, and the inner critic
- Career transitions, gaps in work, and the precarity of freelancing
- Burnout and recovery from physically and emotionally demanding roles
- The psychological demands of method acting and character immersion
